Congratulations and job well done to all of our carpenters, apprentices, Council staff from across the state, and training staff, for helping with the build of the WILD 94.1 Toy Tower. This is a yearly effor for our Council and it continues to be a successful project every time. Thank you to our signatory contractor Solid Platform, Inc, Dave Rees, and their Central Florida Team for donating all the scaffolding and their team of professionals to help build the scaffold. We also thank John Handerhan from Cork Howard Construction for handling all of the permitting needs with the City of Tampa.
Radio personality Orlando, from Wild 94.1, will live on the Tower from December 3-11, and will try to beat the record year they had last year of $110,400 in cash and gift cards, 568 bikes, and 4 full PODS of toys! All the donations will benefit the Childerns Home Network, a non-profit organization which serves as a sanctuary to abused, neglected, or abandoned children in the Tampa Bay Community. If anyone wishes to donate gift cards, a bike, or toys, please stop by the 94.1 Toy Tower on Dale Mabry Highy and Columbus Drive.
What a great way to start the Holiday Season!
