A big "THANK YOU" to all of our journeymen, apprentices, and Council staff from across Florida, who provided crucial services to build the annual WILD 94.1 Tampa Toy Tower.
Thank you once again to signatory contractor Solid Platforms and Dave Rees and their Central Florida team for donating all of the scaffolding and the expertise to help build the scaffold. Thanks, too, to John Handerhan from Cork Howard Construction for once again handling all the permitting needs with the City of Tampa. Also, we offer a "Job Well Done" to the instructors and students from the Pinellas County Job Corp and Miami Job Corp Centers, who also helped with the project.
Radio Personality Orlando from Wild 94.1 lived on the Tower for a week prior to Christmas. The radio station beat the record they had last year with $170,000 in cash and gift cards, 500 bicycles, and four full PODS of toys! All the donations will benefit the Children's Home Network, a non-profit organization that serves as a sanctuary to abused, neglected, or abandoned children in the Tampa Bay community.
