About Local 1000
Millwrights and Machinery Erectors Local Union 1510 was formed in 1952. Since then we have reorganized as Local Union 1000, and have nearly 500 members.
Our major markets include Power Plants, Phosphate Plants, Airports, Concrete Plants, and some light industrial work. We are also involved in some other industries.
We have an extensive training program that includes apprenticeship and journeyman training. Our excellent training programs and highly skilled members have gained us respect throughout our service area and among our construction users.
